- I'm so happy! But ...Fulfilled my dream of owning Bantam Cochins the day before yesterday. And while they are more cute as I imagined them to be (I know their feathers aren't the best, their living conditions weren't ideal, I hope some sunny days with dust baths will fix this quickly) they are kinda... Dumb? I watched them yesterday for a while and they don't seem to have a lot of braincells in their tiny heads. For example: One tried to jump upwards on a branch, failed miserably and lied on the grounds so long I thought it broke its back, just to then waddle away like nothing happened. Another one walked straight into a corner, stood there and then panicked because it couldn't find a way out.
