Be cautious when letting your birds out on sunny days. Sometimes they melt!

Our take

As the sun shines brightly over upstate New York, our feathered friends are reveling in the warmth—though we must tread carefully! Letting your birds out on sunny days can sometimes lead to some unexpected "melting." Just take a look at Skyler, our resident sunbather, who found the perfect spot to soak up the rays. While she was busy lounging, the rest of the flock scattered around the yard, enjoying their own sunny patches. It’s a delightful scene, but it serves as a gentle reminder to keep an eye on your birds during these warm spells. After all, we want them to enjoy the sunshine without getting too toasty! Check out the adorable antics of our goofy gang and share in the joy of chicken life!

It’s been pretty warm this week (and getting warmer!) in upstate NY, so the goobers are out enjoying some sunshine. Just wanted to show them off :)

First two pics are of the “melter,” Skyler. She thought I was a nice place to sunbathe. All the others are the rest of the flock, just scattered around their yard.
