Chick won’t stop chirping! Help!
Our take
Hello! This is me and my husbands first group, we had them from egg to hatching. We have 11 total. Well the last one born on Day 22.5 who is quite small (definitely the runt of the group). She’s had multiple pasty butt situations but handles butt baths well. However, she will not stop chirping.
To give some context…
We check her for pasty butt constantly
Has had olive oil on her bum to help
Moved to her own brooder with one sibling (another one on the small side, second to last born)
Been given a little egg yolk and mush (started feed with water)
She is eating and drinking. Definitely better than when she was with the 10 others
Her heat plate is low and she has room to get out if she gets too warm.
PLEASE HELP. I don’t know what’s wrong or how to help her! :(
Her name is Peep (unironically, named before her loud voice was discovered lol)

- Help!!! Urgent!!This little baby partridge cochin arrived with two other ladies yesterday. Everything was fine yesterday. She still can walk around and drink water but she’s really slow. Vaccinated for mareks disease. Using nature serve unmedicated feed with probiotics + prebiotics. Also have one waterer with water and the other with electrolytes (strong animas first peep) No pasty butt, although I’ve been having to clean the three of them off yesterday and today as some was forming. But vent is clear! Also, brooder is on a slant. The back of it is very close to the ground. submitted by /u/Soggy-Aardvark-3004 [link] [comments]
- Can somebody tell me what’s wrong with this chick? So for context i got 8 chicks and all of them are doing fine except this one. Her eyes are closed, she is wobbly, and won’t move on her own. She doesn’t eat food, and her crop is small. But she does chirp a lot. This is my first time raising chicks, so please tell me what I can do. submitted by /u/GG-Hop-Men [link] [comments]
