Cracked/injured beak…. Help!
Our take
Oh no, it sounds like you had a bit of a cluck-up with your feathered friend! Accidental injuries can be heart-wrenching, especially when it involves those delicate beaks. First things first—don’t beat yourself up too much; we’ve all had our chicken mishaps! The good news is that beaks are resilient and can heal well, especially since your girl is still munching away. Keep an eye on her for any signs of infection, like excessive swelling or discharge. A clean, safe environment will help her recovery, and offering soft foods can make eating easier while she heals. So, let’s dive into some tips to ensure your sweet hen gets back to her clucking self in no time!

| I accidentally pinched my girls beak in the run door today. I feel so terrible. It bled for a bit, looks mostly dried now. She’s still eating. Will this heal? What do I do? 😭 [link] [comments] |

- Need help and advice. So after getting home from work today I found that by roosters had started fighting out of nowhere, They are twin brothers and have spent every day together but for some unknown reason they apparently tried to kill each. One of the boys walked away with plenty of wounds but the other boy has lost a chunk of his beak right bellow the nostril the bleeding had stop by the time I got to them but I cleaned it and put medicine on it but I'm not sure if he's broken now can his broken beak grow back even if it's that far up and will the twin brother's ever be able to be together again? Please if anyone has any idea I could use some real experiences. submitted by /u/Junior-Cap5596 [link] [comments]
