Hardest part of ranch life

Our take

Yesterday marked one of the hardest days in our ranching journey as we faced the heart-wrenching decision to cull every single one of our beloved chickens, ducks, and geese due to an outbreak of Mycoplasma gallisepticum. After months of battling this relentless illness, we finally received a true diagnosis, but it came far too late. The loss of our feathered friends, whom we’ve cared for and nurtured over the past 3.5 years, feels like a heavy weight on our hearts. Each bird represented not just a part of our farm, but a piece of our lives and dreams. Rest in peace, my angels. Your memories will forever flutter in our hearts, and we hope to meet again someday in a happier place.
