HELP! Rooster acting strange?

Oh no! It sounds like your feathered friend is having a rough day, and that can be quite alarming. Roosters, with their big personalities and even bigger presence, usually strut their stuff with confidence. When they suddenly act out of character, it's definitely a cause for concern. It’s heartbreaking to see them decline so quickly, especially when they seemed perfectly fine the day before. Offering egg yolk is a great idea, but if he reacted with a seizure, it indicates something more serious at play. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Your love for your rooster shines through, and it’s clear he was treasured.
| | Hello everyone! I came home from work today and found my big rooster standing in the coop which is very unusual for him. I left him and just came out to check on him and he is going downhill fast. I tried to offer him egg yolk syringe and he reacted almost immediately with what I would call a seizure. He was completely fine yesterday. Any and all opinions are appreciated. Thank you. Edit: thank you everyone who took the time to respond and give advice. I brought him in the house to the bathroom with blankets and a pillow and shut the lights off and he passed on his own. I’m thankful he didn’t stuffer for too long. P who sadly disappeared in December. I have her resting in a milk crate and I’ve been sitting with her for hours. I’ve been using a water dropper to get some fluids in her, but I’m very very concerned because I haven’t seen much improvement over the course of the day. - My rooster is not at the top of the pecking order, what do i do?Ok so i have this beautiful Little bantam/serama rooster, i love him with all my heart, he is the light of my life. He is 5 years old. Well, all his life, he was the Alpha rooster, at the top of the pecking order, always beating the rest of the roosters, either small like him or big big. Well, last week, my parents told me that this nacked neck rooster finally beat him. I find IT strange, because this nacked neck was so afraid of my small roo. Now, after my roo was beat by this big guy, he changed so much. He stopped to eat for a couple of days, my parents thought he would die. Hes ok, thanks god. But now my baby is afraid of eberything, tends to be by himself, doesnt spend time with the other chickens. What do i do to fix this? He is suffering, i see this, he is not the Alpha anymore and i need him to be happy and a leader like he always was. - Please help!!My favorite hen peachy isn't feeling good. Her tail is bobbing and she's a bit lethargic. I examined her a bit and her crop is small and hard, she also started struggling to breath when I picked her up and tried to get away (this is the most cuddly chicken I've ever had she ADORES being held) I put her in the garage with water and the Internet told me not to give her solid food for 12-24 hours so I crushed up a boiled egg (without the shell) and gave that to her. I saw someone say online to feed a chicken with a bad crop some olive oil and massage the crop so I might try that tomorrow. - Rooster attacked hen - treatment advice?Y'all probably get these questions a lot and I've even treated injured hens before but my neurological disability is acting up and I seriously just can't remember any of the stuff that's chicken specific.... My rooster apparently finally overpowered the boss hen who used to boss him, and he's taken it too far. Big chunk ripped off the back of her neck. Do I wrap this? Just flush with water and apply ointment? I don't know exactly how long ago she was attacked, but it had to have been just a few hours ago at the most. I can call the vet when they open tomorrow but they're closed now so I'm looking at least for initial treatment... This same hen has survived being mauled by a dog, so she's tough. I still have some of her antibiotics and sulfadiazine cream from then so maybe just apply that? My head is so fuzzy right now, my poor girl.
