Hen limping, not eating and yellow poop

Our take

Oh no, it sounds like Sunny is having a cluck-tastrophe! Limping, lethargy, and yellow poop can definitely raise some alarm bells for any chicken parent. It’s great that you’ve been proactive by separating her from the flock and monitoring her closely. Your observations about her not eating and having a yellowish poop suggest she might not be getting enough nutrients, which can happen when chickens feel under the weather. It’s wise to consider all possibilities, from minor sprains to more serious issues. While a vet visit can be a bit stressful for our feathered friends, it might be the best way to get to the root of Sunny's troubles. Let’s rally the community for some advice and support for our beloved girl!

Hen limping, not eating and yellow poop

My girl Sunny (2 year old Wyandotte) started showing signs of lethargy on Monday. She was walking very slow and laying down a lot. I separated her from the flock and monitored her to see what was wrong. The next morning she was limping and favoring her left leg. She also started having a yellow-ish tinged poop. I read that this can be caused from not eating because it's bile in the poop. I've given her four Epsom salt baths, felt for eggbound symptoms. She has not laid any eggs since being separated. I've also given her poultry cell, aspirin and syringe feeding her electrolyte water she will hardly eat maybe just a few bites at a time and she won't put hardly any weight on her left leg. She does not have bumble foot or any visible injuries to her leg or foot. I've felt both of her legs and can't tell the difference between the normal leg and the one that she is favoring.

The closest avian vet to me is about an hour away, and I didn't want to put her through the stress if it was just a sprain that would heal on its own, but I'm thinking I should take her this week. Has anyone had a similar experience or does anyone have advice? I'll attach photos of her from this morning and a picture of her poop. Thanks in advance!
