House sitting

Our take

Hey there, fellow animal lovers! I’m a newbie here, diving into the world of house sitting with a twist—caring for two adorable dogs and a flock of chickens in less-than-ideal living conditions. Yesterday was all about the fish, but today, I'm clucking curious about how to ensure these feathered friends are living their best lives! I’d love your insights on what proper chicken care looks like and how to navigate this situation for their safety and well-being.

House sitting

Hi I’m new here. You can see by my post/comment history I’ve also newly been on goldfish Reddit. I am house sitting for someone I’ve only very recently met (through Rover) and while I am primarily caring for two dogs, I’ve also found myself caring for other animals of theirs. Animals with less than ideal if not cruel and inhumane living conditions. Yesterday my focus was the fish… today I want to know more about chickens and how they should be living, how bad this scenario is or isn’t, how to navigate this to ensure safety and well-being for the chickens. I can take more pics if needed. I just took these for my two coworker friends and they, like me, were horrified.
