My duck being…aggressive with the chickens

Our take

Ah, the classic conundrum of feathered friendships gone awry! It sounds like your male runner duck has taken his role as the “mating maestro” a bit too seriously, leading to some unwanted fowl play with your chickens. Ducks can indeed display aggressive behavior during mating season, and it’s not uncommon for them to assert their dominance over their feathered friends. If you’ve noticed one of your white chickens pinned down and looking a bit worse for wear, it’s wise to take action. Separating the duck was a good first step, but it’s essential to monitor your chickens for any lasting effects or injuries. Let’s dive into what you can do next to ensure a harmonious coop and happy, healthy birds!
