Our take

Oh no! It sounds like your feathered friend is in a bit of a pickle, and we totally understand the concern that comes with seeing a chicken in distress. When our cluck-tastic companions are feeling under the weather, it can be both stressful and bewildering. Since a three-hour drive to the vet isn't in the cards, fear not! There are several steps you can take to assess and potentially improve her condition at home. First, ensure she’s in a quiet, comfortable space with access to fresh water. Observe her closely for any signs of illness, like changes in droppings or behavior. Don’t forget to check her diet—sometimes, a little tempting treat can coax her back to her feisty self!
