Roger Is Super Cranky Before Bed

| | This is my boy, Roger. He ain't right, but he's a sweet boy and I love him! He comes when I call and loves when I cart him around. He's almost 1. Well, he's sweet for the 11 hours he's out free ranging with the others. But lately, when I go out to lock him up for the night, he's been pecking my legs and flapping his wings. I tried pinning him down and pushing him away, but he keeps doing it. If I hold him, he does better. It literally only ever happens right before I lock him up. I'm not sure if it's because he doesn't want me to put him in there because the other chickens are mean to him? He's definitely at the bottom of the totem pole. Or is he having a surge of testosterone at night? I'm just looking for an explanation of his behavior. I've had chickens for a few years now, but he and Randy and Reggie are my first roosters. - Rooster being a turdDoes anybody know what causes a rooster to all of a sudden change his entire attitude and attack you?! I’ve never had a problem with any of my roosters, and I recently gave two of them away because they were tearing up my chickens because I had too many and not enough chickens, now the one that I kept is a red one he’s got red eyes, and I thought he was beautiful until yesterday. He rammed in me he proceeded to act like he was gonna attack me. Then last night he came at me again., and again this morning, I’ve never had a problem with him and now all of a sudden he has a problem with me. I like to go in my coop and chill out with my chickens, but I’m not gonna be able to do that with him around, so I guess I’m gonna have to do something with him.
