| i believe they are 8-9 weeks old. The Americana chick grew faster than the others and so far has longer tail feathers. The barred rock chick has slightly more red comb than the others and is the bravest out of the chicks. [link] [comments] |

- Roo or hen?So this dark Brahma has different tail feathers than the rest. They are currently around 7 weeks old. It may be too early to tell if it’s a roo or not but all the others are hens most definitely. They all came from a pullet run. submitted by /u/HopefulArticle6284 [link] [comments]
- Pullet or cockerelI'm a first time chicken owner with a flock of 20. The two pictured are a Rhode Island red (brown with spots) and the midnight majesty maran (pigeon looking one). They are the only two I think might be males based on picture 2's wattle coming in and picture one because if the redness and size of its comb compared to it's 4 sisters. In total I have 5 Rhode Islands, 5 marans and 10 leg horns. Other than those differences they are identical. The red is also the first to approach me overtime I enter, then all the others come over after she/he has done their scout. All checks are 55 days old (almost 8 weeks). - Pullet or CockerelJust wondering if anyone can tell if they are both pullet or if I have a cockerel and pullet. They are both the same age. I want to say they are 5 weeks old but I'm not 100% sure as I got them from tractor supply march 20th. Left has longer tail feathers, wattle is bigger and red, and she makes a sound all the time that sounds like a hawk. Right has shorter feathers, wattle is small and not as red. submitted by /u/lilbadboob [link] [comments]
