Should any changes be made to this coop?
Our take
Are you contemplating a coop makeover? You’re not alone! With three delightful feathered friends currently clucking around, it sounds like you’re ready to level up your chicken game. Opting for hardware wire instead of poultry wire is a smart move for long-lasting security—after all, we want to keep those freeloaders safe! Plus, the style of your coop is a winner, especially nestled under your fruiting pear tree, providing a cozy shade for your flock during those hot summer days. If you’re dreaming of hatching more chicks in the future, let’s ensure your coop is up to the challenge. Join the conversation and see what changes might make your coop even more cluck-tastic!

| I know I should use hardware wire - not poultry wire. I currently only have 3, but would like them to hatch more later on (since apparently they're total freeloaders at this point.) I liked this style coop and it will fit under my fruiting pear tree, which provides a ton of shade in the summer. [link] [comments] |
