Swollen booty below cloaca
Our take
Hey, fellow chicken enthusiasts! Today, we're diving into a rather juicy topic—Lemon's swollen backside! After giving my feathered friend a much-needed butt bath, I discovered that she has a red, protruding area just below her cloaca, which looks a bit squishy. Despite the alarming appearance, Lemon seems to be in good spirits—eating and drinking as usual. It could be that her long butt feathers are contributing to this situation, especially with some pesky poop buildup. So, is this just a case of a normal juicy booty, or could there be something more to it? Let’s explore this together and see if we can uncover the mystery of Lemon’s lovely behind! Cluck on and join the discussion!

| Just gave my chickens their butt baths and found Lemon has a very swollen and red behind but below the cloaca. She had a lot of poop buildup but she also just has long butt feathers. Its not bald (just looks that way cause the feathers are wet) but red, protruding and squishy. She seems otherwise healthy: eating and drinking. Not sure if she's laying. Last picture is post bath. Is this just a normal juicy booty? Any idea what it could be if not? [link] [comments] |
