My Rooster's Leg Has Me Limping Through a Year of Worry
For context, he started limping about a year ago and slowly, I noticed his leg got swollen. He would limp a bit, but it was manageable. Eventually, it started swelling up, even thicker to the point you see now and he is at the point he doesn’t even use it at all. I thought maybe it was broken and had kept him isolated in a place in the coop where he could not jump up on anything for a month or so, but that doesn’t seem to help. I’ve tried reaching out to many different organizations near me and nobody can help me. submitted by /u/CYouChai [link] [comments]
Need Help for a Chick with a Dislocated Hip? Let's Cluck Together
I don’t think this is ‘splay leg’..I think it’s a dislocated leg from the hip joint. Photo was from yesterday. I need help knowing what to do for it. Vets figures are closed since it’s the weekend. Can anyone help me help this poor lil serama chick? submitted by /u/SonOfHibbs [link] [comments]
A Tiny Broken Leg and a Whole Lot of Heartbreak
This baby chick hatched 3 days ago, he couldn’t walk and we noticed the other chicks were eating something from its leg and it started bleeding so we separated it from the others. We gave it water, calcium, vitamins and food, but it cant eat alone from the pain. For a day or two it keeps crying and we realised its leg is broken since we first thought it was a splayed leg, now I think its irreversible, I also cant kill it and vets dont do euthanasia in my country anymore. What can I do? How can I ease its pain or help it? submitted by /u/DevxHimself [link] [comments]
