Unknown Chick Breed
Our take
Hey there, fellow chicken enthusiasts! As a newer chick mom, I'm reaching out to tap into our community's collective wisdom. I recently brought home a couple of adorable chicks from Tractor Supply, and while my other two are clearly Rhode Island Reds, these two have me scratching my head in confusion. One is a sleek black chick, while the other sports a charming mix of white and black, with a touch of yellow on its head and some feathered legs to boot! They were all in the same bin labeled for Rhode Island Reds, but these little ones seem to have a personality of their own. If anyone can help me identify these feathered friends, I would be egg-cited to hear your insights!

| Newer chick mom here - Can anyone else me identify two of my chicks?
I got them from Tractor Supply and they were all in the Rhode Island Red bin which clearly these are not considering my other two are RIR chicks. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

- Mystery Chick IDThis chick came out of a Tractor Supply bin labeled Barred Rock Pullet, very obviously not, but any guesses what it could be? All black feathers and feathered slate colored legs has me thinking some type mix of Marans. At 8 weeks is bigger than the Silver Laced Wyandottes I purchased at the same time. The comb seems odd to me, doesn’t look like any other chicken I have. Is also very aggressive with one of my 10 week old Easter eggers but mostly ignores all the other chicks in the run. submitted by /u/biskets4all [link] [comments]
- Does anyone know what breed this tractor supply chick is? It was in with a bunch of barred rocks? Now it’s older with some feathering.. thank you! (Loud chirping warning lol)submitted by /u/MMantisshrimpp [link] [comments]
- Can anyone identify his breed?ID my chicken please. This is Red . I got him at TSC and he's 10 weeks old. I don't know what breed he is. I'm thinking either Rhode Island Red or Easter Egger, as I don't recall any other breeds they had that he might fit int. Also, I'm guessing by appearances that Red is a cockeral. submitted by /u/annphillips1980 [link] [comments]
