Update on Rooster with Layer Feed-induced Arterial Gout

Cluck-tastic news, everyone! Our beloved rooster is on the mend after a nearly three-week recovery from Layer Feed-induced arterial gout. After four days of pampering indoors, he’s strutting around with newfound vigor, and his limp is almost a thing of the past! We’ve switched the flock’s diet to a flock maintainer and waved goodbye to black soldier fly larvae, and it seems to be working wonders! A huge shoutout to u/no-jicama3012 for the insightful advice that truly saved the day for our feathered friend. It's amazing how love, care, and a little dietary tweaking can bring back that egg-citing energy. Thank you for all the support, and let’s keep cheering for our resilient rooster!
| | It’s been almost 3 weeks. He is recovering! He spent four days in the house getting extra TLC. The flock food has been changed to flock maintainer, and we stopped feeding black soldier fly larvae. His limp is nearly gone and he is back to normal energy levels!
