What daily schedule do you need to maintain for healthy happy chickens?

Our take

So, you’ve convinced your family to welcome some feathered friends into your lives—cluck-tastic! Taking on the care of these delightful birds is both a fun adventure and a serious commitment. While you won’t be able to check on them until around 10:30 or 11 AM, rest assured that chickens are pretty resilient creatures. An automatic coop door is a fantastic start, but it's understandable to worry about collecting eggs and refreshing their water. Don’t fret! As long as you have reliable feeders and water tanks, your chickens will be just fine. In this guide, we’ll explore a daily schedule to ensure your chickens remain happy and healthy, even if you have a slight delay in your morning routine.

So i convinced my family to get chickens, on the condition that I take care of them most of the time. I live fairly close to my family so I will be able to come by every day, however I won’t be able to come by until around 10:30/11am. They’re going to have an automatic coop door so I’m not concerned about them getting let out. My main concern is will it affect the chickens if eggs aren’t collected first thing in the morning and if their water is not refreshed first thing in the morning? I plan to have those feeders and water tanks that can be filled with a large amount of feed/water so that I don’t have to worry if they’re empty or not each morning. This may be a dumb question so apologies in advance it if it. I just want to make sure these chickens have the happiest and healthiest lives I can give them and don’t want to overlook anything.
