EOS Shave Cream Questions

So I’ve come across quite a few people saying (as well as the website) the EOS shave cream can be used as an in shower lotion, and some people saying you can use it as just a lotion without rinsing afterwards.

I’m confused, can it be used as a lotion after a shower? Does it need to be rinsed off or can it be left on? I wasn’t questioning how to use it until I started watching/reading reviews lol.
