Just shot my first paid gig — had to manually match 80+ RAW files one by one. There has to be a better way?

Shot a small birthday party yesterday. Client picked 85 photos from my JPEG previews, which was great — but then i had to go back and find each matching RAW file manually. I was searching by filename, cross referencing timestamps, double-checking I didnt grab the wrong burst shot… Took me almost an hour just for that step, and i was still second-guessing myself at the end. Is this just how everyone does it? Feels like the kind of thing that would get really painful at scale — like a 500-photo wedding shoot. Do you guys have a system for this or is there a tool im missing?
