Squishy Bag

Hi All-

We are flying Lufthansa, Air Canada and my bag is a bit fat (sticks out), but if I don’t fill it to the brim, it would squish.

Is that sufficient for it to qualify for carry on dimensions? If it can easily squish down and fit into the little measuring cage?
