The Great China Cabinet Escapee Returns After a Three-Day Fowl Mystery
For three days, I thought that chick was a goner. No chirps. No trail. Nothing. I'd already accepted the sad outcome, probably died somewhere I'd never find it. Then, just now, it pops out from behind my china cabinet, peeping like it just finished a little vacation. I'm shocked. I'm relieved. I'm grateful my cats never attack the birds, but you never really know. That little escapee is hungry, thirsty, and very much alive. This is the kind of fowl mystery that makes you laugh and question your sanity at the same time.
