A Limping Chicken's Foot Is a Cluck-Tastic Mystery: Let's Solve It

A black spot on the underside of a chicken's foot, a limp, and a blister on top? That's a cluck-tastic mystery, and honestly, my heart goes out to you for playing long-distance chicken detective. Yes, bumblefoot is a real suspect here, and that black scab is the classic calling card. The good news? At this stage, home care is often possible, but it's not a casual soak-and-pray situation. That Epsom salt soak is a solid first step to soften things up, but the owner will likely need to gently remove the scab and clean the wound thoroughly. The blister on top adds another layer of fowl play, so keep a close eye on it.
