Mean mom, naked neck chick: still completely cluck-worthy.
There's something about a naked neck chick that just gets me. This little weirdo is absolutely precious, even if their broody mom is a total menace right now. I mean, I get it, Mama Hen. You're protective. But could you maybe let me sneak one good photo without losing a finger? This Plymouth Rock hen stole a clutch of eggs, and while it's a little sad this is her only surviving chick, it makes this little one feel extra special. I'm honestly obsessed with this scrappy survivor. It's the kind of feathered friend that reminds you why we put up with the fowl play in the first place.
