I recently rescued a little feathered terror who was wandering around a neighborhood for weeks, and let me tell you, this “poor baby chick” turned out to be quite the bantam! With a flock of standard chickens at home, I was curious to see how she’d fit in, so I set her up in her own mini chicken coop. But this pint-sized escape artist has already managed to break free twice, soaring to the highest point in the barn just to taunt us! While she’s receiving treatment for scaly leg mites and some cuts, she’s taken a liking to me—cuddles and all! However, she absolutely loathes my husband and sons.
