When a Chirp Turns Into a Soggy Sniffle, Something's Up

Oh, a soggy sniffle from a chick that can't chirp, that's a whole new level of fowl play, and I feel your panic. You've got a little guy who's clearly struggling, and while I'm no vet (just a chicken enthusiast with a healthy dose of fear), that wet sound when he tries to chirp screams respiratory trouble. Fluid building up somewhere? That's not something to chickening out on. He's still zipping away from you and eating, which is good, but the reduced appetite is a red flag. I'd skip the home remedies and get him to a vet who knows birds. In the meantime, keep him warm and hydrated.
