did not go as planned

When collecting eggs goes full fowl play

There I was, basket in hand, ready for a peaceful morning harvest. Then I saw her, a hen with a look that said, "Not today, friend." What followed was a chase scene that would make a cartoon jealous. When collecting eggs goes full fowl play, you learn that chickens have opinions about your breakfast plans. This isn't just about gathering breakfast; it's a negotiation with feathered chaos agents who know exactly how to ruffle your schedule. My previous adventures in chicken keeping, like the color confusion naming our feral flock's feathery hues, prepared me for this. Still, nothing prepares you for a hen who treats egg collection like an Olympic sport.
