My post-Halloween pumpkin experiment: two flocks, one fowl mystery
Two pumpkins, two flocks, and one very clear winner. I carved nothing for my post-Halloween experiment, I let the chickens do the work. Blob went to a rural flock of 12 who'd been cooped up after a coyote sighting, and they went to town on those eye holes like they had nothing better to do. Tilin, meanwhile, sat untouched in my suburban backyard. Skippy and Shadow just stared at it, even after I scratched the surface to show them it was pickable. The rural birds clearly had more motivation, or boredom. Either way, Blob held up shockingly well, no mold in sight. Maybe keeping the guts intact preserves them?
