green egg laying

A feathery mystery: can you guess if this peep is a pullet or a cockerel

Welcome to the cluck-tastic world of chicken gender guessing, where a single peep can leave even the most seasoned chicken-lover chickening out! This little mystery bird is a week and a half old, some sort of green egg-laying crossbreed bantam, and the big question is: pullet or cockerel? I've been there, staring at a fluffball and wondering if I'm about to raise a future rooster who'll declare coop independence just in time for winter, like our recent tale of a bantam rooster's great escape. The comb and feather clues are subtle at this age, making it a genuine game of fowl play. So, put on your detective hat and join the fun, your guess is as good as mine!
