Grim Cheeper

Our Grim Cheeper had a cluck-tastic Halloween handing out full-sized candy

Olive, our beloved Grim Cheeper, turned Halloween into a truly cluck-tastic event. The sight of her in costume, handing out full-sized candy to students, was pure magic. Watching people do a double-take, convinced she was a statue, never gets old. The little kids especially loved her, and she was a trooper, tolerating that costume for over three hours. The scythe kept rotating and ruffling her feathers, which annoyed her, noted for next year's design. It's that perfect blend of spooky and silly that makes chicken-keeping so egg-citing. If you love seeing our feathered friends in action, you'll also get a kick out of our article on the rooster stencil that's egg-citing enough to make you cluck with joy.
