There's a special kind of heart attack that only comes from glancing at your salmon faverolle mid-sunbathe, and Cricket is clearly out here trying to send me to an early grave. She sprawls out like she's auditioning for a crime scene chalk outline, all feathers and feet pointed skyward in a pose that screams "tragic molt" rather than "relaxing afternoon." I know she's fine, they all do this ridiculous limp-noodle impression when the sun hits just right, but my brain refuses to accept it. Every single time.
