incubation timeline

Finally a chicken incubation timeline the manuals actually agree on

Finally, someone actually did the homework we've all been too chicken to finish. Confident_Path9587 went through the Brinsea and Hova-Bator manuals plus three extension guides and found the incubation timeline they actually agree on. That's right, no more squabbling charts. For forced-air incubators, it's 99.5°F and 45-50% humidity from Day 0, turning through Day 17, lockdown on Day 18 with humidity bumped to 65-70%, and then you keep that lid shut until the pips turn into peeps. The real gold is in the things manuals forget: still-air needs a warmer reading, lockdown means physically removing eggs from the turner, and odd-numbered hand turns prevent every night on the same side. If you've ever felt like the charts were gaslighting you, this is your cluck-tastic rescue.
