That rooster pecked Katherine aside just to monopolize my lap time

That rooster pecked Katherine aside just to monopolize my lap time, and honestly? I get it. There's something about a warm lap that turns even the most dignified rooster into a jealous, feathery tyrant. I've been there, sitting down for a quiet moment, only to have a feathered friend decide I'm their personal throne. It's equal parts hilarious and humbling. This kind of fowl play is exactly why I can't quit these birds, even when they're being little dictators. Because let's be real, if you're going to be pecked, it might as well be for a good cuddle.
