Midnight Blue Maran

My feathered friend's gone grey and fuzzy-footed: help us solve the fowl mystery

Oh, the fowl mystery deepens! One of our fellow chicken enthusiasts ordered a Majesty Maran and two Midnight Blue Marans, only to end up with a grey, fuzzy-footed feathered friend sporting brownish-red neck feathers. That's not just a mix-up, that's a full-on poultry plot twist. I love a good chicken identity crisis, and this one has me clucking for answers. Could it be a different Maran variety, or perhaps a whole other breed sneaking into the coop? If you've cracked similar cases, like that "White spots on rooster ears" puzzle, chime in. Let's help this poor soul solve the mystery before their flock gets any more dramatic!
