Polish Cochin Rooster

Our tiny rooster dropped a spur and finally walks like a normal bird

Well, look at that, a tiny rooster finally shedding his shackles, both literally and figuratively. Our little Polish Cochin dropped a spur today, and now he's strutting like a normal bird instead of doing that bowlegged waddle that made him look like he'd just lost a bar fight with a hen. I've got to imagine he's feeling pretty cluck-tastic about the whole thing. It's those small victories that remind us why we put up with the fowl play, right? Speaking of quirky chicken dynamics, our piece on "Two feathered bachelors who'd rather snuggle than chase hens" dives into similar lovable oddballs. Sometimes the best stories come from the weirdest little moments in the coop.
