Sharp Sand Showdown: Is Your Indoor Coop Missing a Cluckin' Good Base?

A ton of river sand sounds like the start of a gloriously cluckin' good experiment, and I'm here for it. Your well-ventilated stone building already gives you a leg up, especially since your Deep South source insists ventilation is the secret sauce. Sharp sand drains like a dream, which means less soggy, ammonia-soaked bedding and happier feet. Chopped straw works, sure, but it can hold moisture and get mucky fast. Sand is a breeze to scoop, and your girls will love scratching through it. I say order that ton. Worst case? You've built a very fancy indoor beach. Best case? You've found your forever floor.
