The Rooster Next Door: My Orphan Chick's Secret Fowl Family
I love my feathered friends, but I also know they can be a little... mysterious. So when I saw a rooster with the exact same plumage as my little orphan chick, I didn't cluck it up to coincidence. The Rooster Next Door: My Orphan Chick's Secret Fowl Family finally gives a name to the heartbreak. My neighbor's free-roaming small breed apparently hatches chicks without him even knowing, and the poor little guys end up lost, eaten by cats, or worse. Seeing that rooster was the only explanation that made sense. It's a fowl play of fate.
