Finding My Happy Place: Channeling a Chicken's Joy in the Dust

You know that blissful look a chicken gets when it finds the perfect patch of dirt to flop into? *Finding My Happy Place: Channeling a Chicken's Joy in the Dust* captures that simple, ridiculous magic. It's a reminder that sometimes the fowl have the right idea, stop worrying and just wiggle in the grit. This piece made me laugh, but it also hit home. We spend so much time trying to outsmart our feathered friends, yet they're the ones teaching us about pure, unapologetic contentment. If you're still working up the nerve to face your own backyard birds, check out "Dusting off my courage to face the feathered fiends in my backyard" for a kindred spirit's journey.
