Those tiny chicken tails are three weeks of pure heart-melting magic

Those tiny chicken tails, the ones that pop up like little feathered exclamation marks, are three weeks of pure heart-melting magic. I get it. There's something about those wiggly, fluffy derps that makes you forget they'll eventually grow up to be the bossy, beak-wielding overlords of your backyard. And honestly? That's the beauty of chicken parenting. You get the adorable baby phase, then the chaos of teenage pecking order drama, and finally the egg-citing payoff (or, uh, the *lack* of eggs when your rooster gets a little too enthusiastic, check out our piece "When Your Rooster's a Little Too… Enthusiastic, Eggs Take a Vacation" for that struggle). For now, just soak in the cuteness before they start plotting fowl play.
