My heart's still clucking: my old tom turkey left before I could say goodbye

Losing Hank that fast is the kind of fowl play that leaves you breathless. You did everything right, clean water, proper feed, a spacious pen, and still, two hours after noticing something was off, he was gone. That's the gut-wrenching reality of keeping birds, even when they're purely beloved pets. The suddenness is the scariest part, and worrying about Brandy now is entirely natural. While I can't diagnose from here, sudden passing without symptoms often points to something internal, like a heart issue or a rapid toxin. You gave him a wonderful life, and that matters. For more on mysterious bird ailments, our piece on "Dry Fowl Pox or Pecking Panic?" might offer some clarity. My heart clucks for your family today.
