bantam chick with 2 toes??
Our take
Meet the quirky little bantam chick that’s stealing hearts with her unique foot fashion! Recently brought home from the farm store, this feisty feathered friend sports only two front toes on each foot, while one foot boasts an adorable double “thumb” situation. Despite her unusual toe arrangement, she wobbles around with the same gusto as her fellow chicks, happily eating and drinking like a champ. But here’s the million-dollar question: should we be concerned about her little quirks? Has anyone else encountered a chick with such a whimsical foot formation? Join the conversation and share your experiences! After all, in the world of chickens, it’s the quirks that make life egg-citing!

| i just brought home some mixed bantam chicks from my farm store and this one only has 2 front toes on each foot!! the third toe on the ends has just one segment, and one foot has two thumbs! so far she seems to walk and eat and drink just as well as all the others, should i be concerned? has anyone else had chicks like this? - Chick has 5 toes on its feet?Just brought a couple new chicks home and noticed one of them has 5 toes. Is this anything to be concerned about or can it live its life just fine like this? It's a Marans. submitted by /u/Zaraisnothuman [link] [comments]
- A little extraSo my daughter noticed today that one of our new chicks has a little extra toes on each foot. The little fella doesn't have any problems getting around, but I was wondering if this could become an issue as it gets older. Is there a safe remedy for this? And just like my last post, I've never run into anything like this with all the other chickens I have and had before. Just saw on Google a question that read, "What's the difference between a houdan and a polish chicken?" The answer, "Houdans have five toes." So my wife thinking that her houdan was being a little extra, nope just being a houdan, lol. submitted by /u/adultfuntimes [link] [comments]
- Is my chick’s toe broken?Baby chicks arrived on Tuesday (4 days ago) from Meyer hatchery. This is the first I have noticed her toe curled. She doesn’t appear to be limping (yet?) We have been handling every day twice a day to clean butts. I don’t remember this much poopy butt last year! Mediated chick feed, 24/7 fresh water, chick probiotics in water available every other day. submitted by /u/terrificmeow [link] [comments]
